Once you enter the Town, along the scenic route off the ferry. You will be in Lower Gibsons. Your choices of where to eat are actually pretty good. Waterfront Restaurant 604-886-2831, is on Marine Drive, and they have a pretty straight up menu. Totally casual, great views, and if you want bacon and eggs, this is one of your choices. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Moderately priced. Also on the left is Bayview Restaurant 604-886-1728, specializing in Chinese and Sezshaun style of food. They have another location as well on the coast, in Sechelt, and at that location it is an all you can eat buffet, Gibsons is order by dish. Take out is available and there is a view from the dining room, but some ‘updating’ would be nice in the restaurant itself. Great price for quantity of food received. If you are hungry, this may be the place for you. Next on the left, is Grammas Pub 604-886-8215, traditional pub faire, sandwiches, specials and roast beef! Views from the pub overlook Gibsons Harbour. Pub hours 11am onward, the kitchen is open. Well priced (less the drinks!!) and good value.
Mollys Reach 604-886-9710 is next on the tour, and it looks just like it did on the Beachcombers tv series. Check it out and enjoy the nostalgia on the walls from the show. Open for breakfast through dinner, they have a really nice menu and portions are large!! A few view seats are available overlooking the marina. If you are visiting, this is a must!
Along Marine Drive in lower Gibsons, you will find two more Gibsons Restaurants and a few cafe's. On the right as you continue along Marine Avenue is Truffles 604-886-4545 this is a cafe and desert bar type establishment. They offer sandwiches, quiches, coffee, tea, cheesecakes and decadent desserts. They are open early and close around 9pm in the summer season. There is a nice little area to sit out front and watch the activity in the area. Just next doors is Mikes Place 604-886-5320 which is worth a mention here as they make their own Gelato. "YUMMY" pretty much sums it up and they have many great flavours to choose from. Leo's 604-886-9414 is just to the left of Mikes Place and it is traditional Greek cuisine. They are open for lunch and dinner and there is an outside eating area to enjoy the scenery. The portions are big and there is good value for your money here. Along Marine Drive towards the marina is one more restaurant, Hans Europa and it is traditional European Cuisine. They are open for dinner only, and it is a beautiful place. I have not yet had the opportunity to have a meal here, but hope to one day soon. 
As you leave lower gibsons and head up Gibsons Way, you will see Sita's Spag Shack 604-886-7721, a funky new pasta house run by Dino Sita that serves fabulous pasta's and gourmet salads. I have eaten there on two occasions and it is fabulous!
Well, that is it for the lower town and restaurants. If begin to head towards Sechelt, there are a few more along the way. Totally Thai 604-886-9219 is a "take out only" thai food restaurant with some indoor seating as well. You will find Totally Thai on your right as you head up Gibsons Way.
Located in Sunnycrest Mall, beside London Drugs, is Pack Ratt Louies Grill 604-886-1646. Prepare to be amazed at the Menu Selection available. "To Die For" Homemade Cheesecakes and more! Just below Molly's on the Sea Walk is a NEW restaurant, Smitty's Oyster House 604-886-4665. This is a westcoast style oyster bar sure to be a hit with locals and visitors! They are located in the old "Smitty's Marina" blue building on the boardwalk.
