Sunshine Coast WeatherWe are not called the Sunshine Coast for nothing! Sunshine Coast weather can be some of the mildest in British Columbia. Annual rainfall is substantially less than other areas of the province as the coast lies in the rainshadow of Vancouver Island. In the 40's and 50's the term 'Sunshine Coast' was placed on this little stretch of paradise by a real estate developer and to this day it has stuck. Typically you can expect 330 or more frost free days per year! Great news for the gardener and outdoor enthusiast. We also boast a whopping average of 231 days of Sunshine per year! A great place to escape just 50 minutes outside of Vancouver, BC. Yes, we do get rainfall, but on average it is less than Vancouver and other parts of Coastal British Columbia. The links below will guide you to the Weather Networks up to date current forecast, as well as short and long term forecasts.
